Kingston is located southwest of Springwood, on the opposite side of the Pacific Motorway about 26kms southeast of the Brisbane CBD. It has Logan Central to the northwest and Meadowbrook to its southeast. Major services and facilities are located in these surrounding suburbs.

Logan Central offers a shopping centre and high school, while Meadowbrook has the Logan Hospital as well as the campuses of Logan TAFE and Griffith University. Kingston itself has schools and parkland facilities, along with a railway station, which provides access to the Brisbane CBD and to the Gold Coast. Kingston also offers good access to the Logan and Pacific Motorways.
